So I've done a ton of work on my 1990 FSJ over the last few months, one of them is replacing the rear end from a 2.72 to 3.31. This week, I drove it on the highway, and the temp gauge is just getting a little too hot for my liking.

If I pull off, or drive on side streets, or even in traffic everything is fine.

I think this means that the fan clutch is fine (just replaced), thermostat is fine, and radiator/water pump is reasonably in good shape.

The only thing I can think of is that my total timing advance is too much at highway speeds (also made worse with He increased RPMs with the 3.31 gears) Anyone have any tips or knowledge to fix this???

I've had the Jeep for about 6 months, but the only other time I drove it on the highway was when I bought it, and it was still cold out, so the temp issue was not a problem. I'm afraid when it's get really hot, I'm gonna have a serious problem.
